About the HTM panel
HTM connects people with people. Every day, we bring you and 300,000 other passengers to your destination by tram and bus. All day long, seven days a week, for more than 160 years. We are proud of this and hope you are satisfied with our work. The HTM panel consists of more than 2,300 passengers who regularly share their opinions about HTM. Some of them travel with HTM every day, others only occasionally. The HTM panel helps us to keep looking ahead and continuously improve travel by tram and bus. About the journey evaluations
We regularly ask panel members to evaluate a trip by tram, RandstadRail or an HTM-operated bus. We may also have questions about other topics. All of this is done through online forms or questionnaires that are quick and easy to complete. How do I sign up for the HTM Panel?
You sign up by this form fill in and send. If you have registered, you will regularly receive an invitation for a questionnaire. Of course, you are not obliged to do anything.

How can I evaluate a journey?
As a panel member, you will receive a monthly invitation to optionally evaluate a tram or bus journey. You can also complete the questionnaire on your smartphone while travelling. The journey evaluation takes about 5 minutes.
You can also very easily evaluate a journey via the app. In the app, select Customer service and then Rate your ride with HTM under the Contact section.
How can I change the email address where I receive questionnaires?
By sending an email to info@htmpanel.nl. Please state both your old and your new email address.
What happens to my data?
Your personal data is processed by research agency Citisens, which handles personal data in accordance with the Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG).
- All your data is sent to research agency Citisens and used only for the HTM panel. Citisens uses your name solely to contact you; your name is not shared with HTM.
- Your email address is used to invite you to complete questionnaires. Your email address is only shared with HTM if you give permission, for example when you sign up for an interview.
- Your home address is used by HTM only to send you prizes and only with your consent. If you prefer not to share it, you can indicate this on the registration form. Already registered? Send an email to info@htmpanel.nl.
- Your journey evaluations and other survey results are shared anonymously with HTM. Citisens and HTM jointly create a report based on these results. If the research findings (and therefore your input) lead to changes at HTM, you can read about them on the ‘Results’ page of the website.
- Once a year you will receive a request from the HTM panel to check whether the information we have is still correct. At that time, you can also update your consent preferences (for example, whether your address may be shared with HTM if you win a prize).
What does HTM use the number of my OV-chipkaart for?
What does HTM use the number of my OV-chipkaart for? HTM is continuously working to improve the timetable. The panel is an important source for this. This can be done even better by linking — with your permission — your journey evaluations to your travel behaviour (when you travel, on which lines, in which vehicles, etc.). For this, HTM needs the number of your OV-chipkaart. This information is not linked to other personal data (such as your name or address), will not be shared with third parties, and the results cannot be traced back to an individual. HTM and Citisens store this information for a maximum of 18 months and use it solely to improve HTM’s services. Have you given permission but want to withdraw it? What is Citisens?
Citisens is an independent research agency. It conducts research for various organisations. For example, a municipality wanting to know how residents feel about certain policies, or a construction company wanting to understand whether nearby residents experience nuisance from construction. Citisens manages the HTM panel, which means it maintains and updates the panel’s data, sends out questionnaires, and analyses the results.
